Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Game the Show. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you should have a parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.

2. Your Account

You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that happens under it. Please use a real email address you have access to — we use it for sign-in and for gameplay notifications.

You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. You may not impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

3. The Game

Game the Show is a free-to-play fantasy game based on reality television. Each episode or week, you may submit a "lineup" of contestants, including a captain, before the deadline for that episode or week. Points are awarded based on what happens on the show, according to the scoring rules published for that show and season. Lineups cannot be changed after they lock.

Scoring rules, lock times, and other gameplay details are set by us and may vary by show and season. We do our best to score fairly and promptly, but scoring depends on human review of episodes and may occasionally be corrected after the fact.

This is not gambling. Game the Show does not involve any entry fees, wagering, or cash prizes. It's free to play, for entertainment purposes.

4. Leagues

You may create or join private leagues (using an invite code) or public leagues (open to anyone browsing). If you create a league, you're responsible for its name and for managing its members if you're the commissioner. League names may not contain offensive or inappropriate language, and we reserve the right to rename, restrict, or remove any league or league name at our discretion.

Public leagues that don't fill up by the time their season starts may be automatically removed.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including through automated means (bots, scrapers) not authorized by us
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other players, including through league chat features
• Use offensive, hateful, or harassing language in a display name, username, or league name
• Impersonate another contestant, show, or public figure in a way intended to deceive

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion.

6. Content You Submit

Anything you post in a league's chat or feed should be your own words and appropriate for a general audience. You're responsible for what you post. We may remove content that violates these Terms.

7. Intellectual Property

Game the Show, its design, and its software are our property or that of our licensors. The reality TV shows referenced on the Service, their names, and their contestants are the property of their respective networks, producers, and rights holders — we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any television network or production company.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. Scoring and standings are provided for entertainment purposes and we're not liable for any disputes arising from scoring decisions.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Game the Show and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Because Game the Show is free to play, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of a nominal amount or any amount you've actually paid us, which for most users will be zero.

10. Changes to the Service or These Terms

We may modify or discontinue the Service, or any part of it, at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
